Welcome to all Moiseve family members, extended family members, and potential family members. Please feel free to investigate our family forum!
This Moiseve Family website details the lineage of the Ivan Moiseve & Debora Vavaroff family, beginning in Ukraine in the middle 1800s, and follows the family's migration from then through today into the mostly Western Region of the United States.
There is some speculation that the patriarch of the family - Ivan Moiseve, may have been John Brickson (Brixon). It is thought that the Russian Government hired and brought him from Wales, England, in the middle 1800s, as part of a group of 400 schoolteachers that were asked to immigrate to Russia as English teachers. Web searching for Brickson and Brixon in the middle 1800s in Wales and England has not returned any viable information so far. Therefore, for now, that is as far back as we go.
The intent of this site is to promote an understanding of the propagation of the Moiseve / Moisieve family plus other possible variations such as Moiseev, Moisere, Moisser, Moischeme, and all its inter-family ties through the collection and sharing of family information. Our aim is to make visiting our family history an informative and rewarding experience.
The following is an alphabetical list of some of the family's names that married with the Moiseves since the middle 1800s. These names were copied from three separate Moiseve genealogies that you will find within the forum. Some of the family names may have variations on the spelling that may not be shown here.

We listed these known family names on this exposed page, It is one of two pages exposed to the internet which include the next page of resources. These two pages are the only ones open to the internet so that extended and potential family members searching for their own family name connections may have the opportunity to investigate the possible connections with our family. We present the names this way because only a few of the extended family names are still named Moiseve. We are becoming a very diverse group!
When we find public documents such as photos, immigration, birth, death, census records, notices, etc. they are usually posted in that family member's individual forum. This helps with positively identifying that person and their immediate family members, and it also helps all of us to verify branches of the family tree. So, this site is rapidly becoming a valuable repository.
Because of this password protection from the internet, nothing that any of us post on this website is accessible to the casual observer or web search engines.
There are still lots of things left to reconcile and to discover about the family. Therefore, we invite all of our extended family members to join us in sharing and developing the stories and records of our family's history and heritage, and to correct anything that may be wrong.
